About Us
SWAG is one of over fifty Ramblers groups, mainly aimed at young people with an interest in walking.
SWAG was set up in 2002 and now has over 70 members.
SWAG is run by a committee with all our walks and social events being organised by members of the group.
Walks are usually held on Sundays. We try to cater for all levels of ability by providing walks of varying distances across different terrains from gentle lowland walks to tough hill and mountain walks. You can find out more information about length and difficulty on our FAQ page.
Social events include pub nights, meals out, ten-pin bowling and trips to the cinema. We have weekend trips away and these are spent youth hostelling, in B&Bs or camping.

every care is taken in planning walks and social events, no responsibility is accepted by the group, its organisers or leaders for any mishap
however it is caused. Participation in any event is entirely at an individual's own risk.
